Everything was seemless

I’d read the etiquette page about four times before reaching out, trying to figure out if I’d get it right. Turns out I was overthinking the whole thing.

Booking was simple, communication was clear, and the time itself felt effortless.

It’s been a few weeks and I still think about how easy it all felt. Not in a dramatic way, just easy, in a way that stuck with me.

I moved a few things around to make the timing work, and I don’t regret it. Some things are worth the extra effort, this was one of them.

I’ve paid for plenty of things that felt transactional. This wasn’t one of them.

I almost cancelled twice before showing up. Within few minutes I felt silly for being nervous at all. Nothing about it felt like what I’d built up in my head.

I travel for work and can’t afford loose ends. Every part of this was handled carefully, from the first message to the last. That’s not something I take for granted.

I’m not usually great at small talk, and I was bracing for it to feel stiff. It wasn’t.

The messages back and forth before we even met told me a lot. Clear, warm, no games. That set the tone for everything after.
